Volunteering

We need your help in the days leading up to the Festival, as well as during the event. If you can help us prepare for the Festival and get it organized, please call our office and let us know what hours you might be available. In Nanaimo, 754-3378 or toll-free 1-877-554-3378.

When you volunteer for the Festival, you’re transported to a magical world where you can share a smile with a child, create memories that will last a lifetime and enjoy some amazing performances.

As a volunteer, you’ll make a difference in the life of a child, contribute to your community’s spirit, meet new friends and learn new skills. You’ll also get an invitation to our ‘Wrap Party’ and have loads of fun!

You may be required to provide a Criminal Record Check in order to volunteer for the Vancouver Island Children’s Festival.

NANAIMO VOLUNTEERS:

I will attend the Volunteer Orientation & Training at the Port Theatre on Sunday, May11 from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. or Saturday, May 10 from 10 - 11:30 a.m.

I am available for additional training at a time to be determined.

VICTORIA VOLUNTEERS:

I will attend the Volunteer Orientation & Training at Centennial Square on Saturday, May 10 from 1- 2:30 p.m. or Wednesday, May 14 from 6 - 7:30 p.m.

I am available for additional training at a time to be determined.

There are mid shift breaks and a nutrition/hospitality centre available to Volunteers at the A-Channel Volunteer Centre.
